CHESS

Where kids become the pieces!

Our chess program introduces children to the game of chess through movement, imagination, and play. Designed specifically for ages 3-6, our curriculum makes chess fun, accessible, and developmentally appropriate, especially for younger learners who are often left out of traditional chess programs.

What will my child learn?

  • Names of the pieces

  • How each piece moves

  • Taking turns & game rules

  • Basic strategy & planning

  • Check, checkmate, and simple tactics

  • Respectful play & sportsmanship

How our program is different

Movement-Based Learning

Movement-Based Learning

Movement-Based Learning

We use a 9’ x 9’ life-size chess board where kids become the pieces! They walk, hop, slide, and move just like rooks, bishops, and knights. helping them physically understand how each piece travels. We work towards playing on a regular game board once each student has a fundamental understanding of the game.

Hands-on & Playful

Movement-Based Learning

Movement-Based Learning

We use:

  • Life-size board games

  • Interactive movement activities

  • Storytelling & themed challenges

  • Partner games

  • Traditional tabletop boards

Most chess programs start too late or feel too advanced. Our curriculum breaks concepts into simple, playful steps so even preschoolers can succeed.
